#CELLPHONEART 02

Here are a bunch of new works from my #cellphoneart & #mobileart experiments. A few of these are the result of using the same set of apps on a tablet, which has a larger surface area, while the bulk of them still come directly from my cellphone.

As with the past offering, you can find these at my Instacanvas gallery, where you can purchase them on a variety of mediums and in varying sizes.

Logo Round Up, August 2013

Here's a collection of completed logos from the month of August, 2013. I've really been trying to get my logo game even tighter and trying to branch out the styles a little bit while still keeping it very much me. This is just a taste of this months works.

#CELLPHONEART

I started messing around with creating art on my cellphone upon upgrading to a fancy new mobile device that is more pocket computer than phone and after getting bombarded by all the awesome cellphone art royb0t was sharing, which ultimately made it's way to StarkVivid 001.

Using royb0t's tips and suggestions as a launchpad, I've since set off on my own adventure of trying out new apps and combinations of apps on my cellphone to create the work seen here. The process basically consists of snapping a photograph and then editing it to all hell and back across multiple apps. I've broken the 20 app mark now and usually use all 20 for any single image. The editing can take anywhere from a half hour or so, or can be a long drawn out process that I pick up and put down several times over the course of a week or two.

The apps range from randomized destructive effects, Photoshop-like editing tools, and beyond. When you pair them up against eachother in different ways and think outside of the box in regards to them, as you see, you can get some really interesting results.

It's still a learning process, every time I open an app I learn a new trick, figure out something different an app can do, and arrive at a new or unexpected result. That being said, the learning curve isn't too terribly steep, so you can see a personal style developing across the images - especially so if they were presented in chronological order.

I am collecting the best of this type of work and making it available for purchase on my Instacanvas profile, so if you're feeling this stuff and think you need it hanging on your walls or as a phone case, don't hesitate to head over there and pick some up!

You can also keep up to speed with all my new works, as long as you don't mind other random photo documentation, by following me on Instagram.
